Doyle E. “Zeke” Newman, age 68, resident of Willard, passed away on Saturday, February 3, 2007 in Woodland Nursing Home in Mansfield. He was born on June 19, 1938 in Willard, Ohio to the late Doyle and Florence (Seiple) Newman and had been a resident of Willard all of his life until moving to Crestline in 2002. He graduated from Willard High School. He retired from R.R. Donnelly as a Customer Service Representative. He was a member of the Willard Elks and the Willard Country Club. He was a huge fan of the Willard Flashes. He loved to fish, hunt, golf and play cards with his friends.
He is survived by one son, Randy and Linda Newman of Willard; three daughters, Jeanne and Bob Snipes of Crestline, Sharon Heydinger of Kenton, and Shelley Wallace of Kenton; 15 grandchildren; 3 great grandchildren; one sister, Crystal Rita of Shelby; and two brothers, Lynn Newman of Harrisonburg, VA and David Newman of Willard.
He is preceded in death by his wife, Constance J. Newman on September 23, 2000; his parents; and son-in-law, Brian Heydinger.
Friends may call at the Secor Funeral Home in Willard on Monday, February 5, 2007 from 4:00 – 8:00 PM. Funeral services will be held at the funeral home on Tuesday, February 6, 2007 at 11:00 AM with Father Stanley S. Szybka officiating. Burial will follow at the St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery.
