We send our deepest sympathy and much love as you mourn, and celebrate, the life of your wonderful mom. Aunt Edna was so special. We loved her lively and spirited sense of fun. Her big smile and happy laughter energized a crowd. We loved hearing her stories, especially those about our mom, Elsie, when they were college roommates. We appreciated that she welcomed her 6 ‘Michigan Righter’ nieces and nephews to the farm with big open arms. No one on earth could make a better rhubarb pie or red velvet cake than Aunt Edna! We felt her love and we loved her in return, so very, very much.

Sending our love and prayers to all of the Smiths on the passing of our beautiful Aunt Edna. Her gracious hospitality, her love of family and friends, her big smile and welcoming hugs. We are so blessed to have known her so well and for so long. What a beautiful rich life she lived, loving to be surrounded by her growing family. It's remarkable how many lives she touched. I will always be grateful for her making elderberry pies for us after we picked them, for singing at our wedding, for being such a great sister to our mom Elsie. And she always claimed credit for our mom and dad meeting at Ashland. God bless all of you as your mourn her absence and celebrate her wonderful life. Becky and Dave

My sincere condolences to each one of the family, David and I, we will remember her, I will remember her for all the pleasant phone calls we had the last few years. She will talk and tell us about the family, who is getting married, the new borns and lots of pleasant news, always cheerful, enthusiastic, never complaining, it was truly a pleasure to listen to her.. David and myself will miss her full of life voice, and we will remember her and maybe try to be as cheerful as she was. I met her three times and I am glad I had a chance, thank you Edna! God bless you!

Aunt Edna was a vibrant, loving, happy person who filled the room with energy and warmth. We have wonderful memories of time spent on her farm, listening to passionate discussions with her sisters and her mom, eating her delicious meals and desserts especially the pies, and hearing the accomplishments of all of her children spoken with pride and love. We lost our mom and her sister Elsie Righter in May and now quickly losing Aunt Edna is so very sad. Our prayers and sympathy to all of the Smiths.
