It was heartbreaking to hear of Ed’s passing. He had been a our neighbor for 23 years, and he never failed to throw up a waving hand when we walked or drove by the house. I admired the devotion he had for his mother, and my heart just breaks for her. Rest in peace, Ed. Our neighborhood will miss you. Heaven gained a genuine angel, for sure.

Dear Bill, Bob, Rita and family, my heart is broken over Eddie’s untimely passing. He has been a wonderful neighbor for the 35 years we’ve lived here- helping Tim mow our field, plowing snow, moving fallen limbs and picking up Leaves and debris. Kind, friendly, thoughtful- just a few of the words I can think of to describe Eddie. And so very good to his mother always. So many times I have looked across our yards at the light over Ed’s garage when I take my dogs out at night, and now it doesn’t shine as brightly. Ed was a light in the neighborhood and I will truly Miss him. I am so very sorry.

I was Ed’s Algebra I teacher the first year I taught in 1968. He was one of the nicest and most respectful “kids” in the school. Those two traits have continued to grow throughout his life. I have been his neighbor for 46 years. If there is even an inch of snow, Ed is on his John Deere blowing out the driveways of the whole neighborhood!!! Our neighborhood has lost a pillar. Fondly, Edna Albright
