Emma Daniel, age 98, resident of rural Willard, Ohio passed away on Thursday, December 28, 2006 at her home. She was born on May 23, 1908, in Bismark, Ohio to the late Daniel and Elizabeth (Didion) Mahl and had been a resident of the Bismark area all of her life. She worked at Pioneer Rubber Company in Willard and also worked on the family farm, as well as a Mom and Grandma. She was a member of the Rosary Altar Society at the former St. Sebastian Catholic Church and a member of St. Gasper del Bufalo Catholic Church in Marywood.
She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Esther and Richard Schnellinger of Willard; two sons and a daughter-in-law, Gerald Daniel and Marvin and Helen Daniel, all of Willard; Daughter-in-law, Nancy Daniel of Willard; 13 grandchildren; 26 great grandchildren; and 5 great great grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Carl W. Daniel in 1946; her parents; a son, Virgil Daniel in 1997; granddaughter, Josephine Daniel in 1965; 3 great grandchildren; 5 brothers, Herman, Carl, Ralph, Arnold and Linus Mahl; and 2 sisters, Mary Ann Bauman and Irene Stockmaster.
Friends may call at the Secor Funeral Home in Willard on Monday, January 1, 2007 from 2-4 and 7-9 PM, where the rosary will be recited at 8:45 PM. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:30 AM on Tuesday, January 2, 2007 at St. Gasper del Bufalo Catholic Church in Marywood with Father John Nagele officiating.
