Ervin Kilgore, age 91, resident of Plymouth, Ohio passed away on Tuesday, October 12, 2021 at Fisher Titus Hospital in Norwalk, Ohio. He was born on November 6, 1929 in Celeryville, Ohio to the late William and Luada (Montgomery) Kilgore.

Ervin was employed as a machinist for Plymouth Locomotive and also worked as a plumbing and heating contractor and farmer. He enjoyed wood working and spending time with his family.

Ervin is survived by his two sons, David (Gwen) Kilgore of South Carolina and Daryl (Mary) Kilgore of Plymouth; five grandchildren, Jason Kilgore of South Carolina, Angie Kilgore of Idaho, Wayne (Tricia) Kilgore of Columbus, Ohio, Isaac (Dena) Kilgore of Plymouth and Tony Kilgore of West Chester, Ohio; four great grandchildren, Benjamin, Micah, Jacob and Riley Kilgore; six sisters, Elizabeth Ritchie of Shiloh, Rebekah (Don) Lewis of Shelby, Mary (Russell) Robinson of Plymouth, Dorothy (Bill) Robinson of Galion, Sue Davis of Michigan and Sarah Kilgore of Plymouth; and numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, Ervin was preceded in death by his wife, Dora Jean (Turner) Kilgore, who passed away on July 4, 1997; three brothers, Benjamin, Daniel and Jerry Kilgore; and two sisters, Zelda Collins and Beatrice Fuson.

Family and friends are invited to visit at the Secor Funeral Home in Willard on Thursday, October 14, 2021 from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Ervin’s funeral service will take place at the funeral home on Friday, October 15, 2021 at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. James Pomerich officiating. Burial will follow at Maple Grove Cemetery in New Haven, Ohio. Online condolences can be left for the family by visiting www.secorfuneralhomes.com.

Was the kindest man I’ve ever known. I never heard him say A harsh word about anyone or lie about anything. He was a great Role model for me growing up. A tragic loss for our family. I will miss him a great deal. Rest in peace
