Evelyn P. Sims, age 85, resident of Willard, passed away Monday, Feb. 19, 2007 at the Willard Health Care Center. She was born on April 28, 1921 to the late Hale and Nina (Baldosser) Cook and had been a resident of Willard since 1984 and formerly lived in Chicago, IL. She enjoyed watching family and friends bowl in person as well as on TV and she also enjoyed reading.
She is survived by son, Lewis Sims and fiance Deborah Gravenhorst of Willard; two grandchildren, Nikki and Steven Sims of Plymouth; and two sisters, Margaret Smith of Willowick, Ohio and Mildred Renner of Wadsworth, Ohio.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Fred E Sims, on April 12, 1998; parents, Hale and Nina (Baldosser) Cook; two brothers, Frederick and Louis Cook; and one sister, Ruth Cook.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, February 22, 2007 from 2:00 – 4:00 & 6:00 – 8:00 PM at the Secor Funeral Home in Willard. The funeral service will be Friday, February 23, 2007 at the funeral home at 11:00 AM with Rev. Warren Fish officiating. The burial will be at the St. Jacob’s Cemetery in Republic, Ohio.
