Fern Pauline James

Fern P. James, age 92, of Plymouth, Ohio, passed away on Wednesday, September 30, 2020 at Crestwood Care Center in Shelby, Ohio. She was born in Wayne County, Ohio on September 7, 1928 to the late John Henry and Emma Irene (Markel) Spade. She was a housekeeper for various people throughout her life and was a member of the Shelby Congregation of Plymouth Jehovah's Witnesses.

She is survived by three children, Harvey A. (Carrie) James Jr. of Norwalk, OH; Harry G. (Sandy) James of Richland, PA and Frances (Dave) Dugan of North Las Vegas, NV; 9 grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Harvey A. James, Sr. in 2007; one brother, Edward J. Spade; one son, Henry James and a granddaughter, Melanie James.

At Fern's request, there will be no funeral services at this time. Burial will take place at a later date at Woodlawn Cemetery in Lodi, OH. sorry for your loss. I am a patient at Crestwood Care Center and Fern was a very friendly person. We became friendly and though we never spoke, she would take my hand and shake it vigorously and enjoyed the relationship, I will miss her. My condolences to you . er
