Fidel G. Nino, age 91, resident of Willard, passed away on Friday, July 7, 2006 in Fireland Hospital in Sandusky. He was born on May 15, 1915 to the late Sylvester and Dolores (Geul) Nino and had been a resident of Willard since 1965. He was a member of the St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church in Willard.
He is survived by six sons, Ralph & Amparo Nino of Detrot, MI, Arturo & Juany Nino of Joliet, IL, Roy & Julie Nino of Alice, TX, Fidel Jr. & Maria Nino of West Palm Beach, FL, Rudy Nino of Wyandotte, MI and Sam & Angie Nino of Willard; six daughters, Matilde & Frank Mendoza of Willard, Juana & Jose Contreras of Willard, Rosa & Tino Hernandez of New Haven, Sandra & Roberto Ramirez of Willard, Benita & Martin Ruiz of Del Rio, TX and Debra Martinez of North Carolina; 43 grandchildren, several great grandchildren and great great grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by his wife, Benita Nino; and his parents, Sylvester and Dolores (Geul) Nino, 2 brothers and a sister.
Friends may call at the Secor Funeral Home in Willard on Sunday from 2-4 and 6-8 P.M. Funeral mass will be held at the St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church on Monday at 11:00 A.M., with Fr. Stanley S. Szybka officiating. Burial will follow at the St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery in Willard. Memorial expressions may be made to the Stein Hospice in Sandusky.
