Francis J. Pflieger, age 86, resident of Willard, Ohio passed away on Tuesday, February 5, 2013 in the Ohio Vetern’s Home in Sandusky. He was born on January 29, 1927 in Peru, Ohio to the late Phillip and Agnus (Huler) Pflieger. Mr. Pflieger was a retired mechanic from the Armatrout Sanition in Willard. He was a veteran of the US Army having served during WWII. He was a member of the V.F.W., the American Legion and the Eagles Club.
He is survived by his wife, Anna (Moore) Pflieger; a son Joseph (Layne) Pflieger of California; a step-son, Dwayne (Aleta) Lykins of Republic; two granddaughters, Cecilia and Liliana Pflieger; two sisters, Alberta Guynn and Rita Schild; and one brother, Matthew (Kay) Pflieger.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by two sisters, Evelyn Shanks and Virginia Mahl; and three brothers, Richard, Bennard and Eugene Pflieger.
Friends may call on Thursday, February 7, 2013 from 4:00 to 7:00 PM at the Secor Funeral Home in Willard, where the funeral service will be on Friday, February 8, 2013 at 11:00 AM with Rev. Merlin Dye officiating. Burial will follow in Greenwood Cemetery in Willard. Online condolences can be left for the family at www.secorfuneralhomes.com.

Ann, we met many years ago before I married and moved to PA. I am the oldest daughter of Leonard and Evelyn Schank. The last time I saw Uncle Francy was at Mom’s viewing in Attica in 2007. He was smiling and joking with all of us.
So sorry to hear of his death. His life with you was a blessing. It is difficult losing a spouse no matter at what age. Take care of yourself. Know that you are in my thoughts and prayers at this time.

It is so sad to give up a loved one. i just lost a nephew recently at a very young age of 41. We miss him so badly.
