Gerald (Jerry) Ferguson, age 68, resident of Bucyrus, Ohio, went to be with the Lord on Thursday, June 14, 2012 at the Bucyrus Community Hospital. He was born on March 29, 1944 in Shelby, Ohio to the late Arthur and Helen (Bogner) Ferguson. Jerry’s favorite things were spending time with his two grandchildren, Abigail and Zachary Hoskins. Jerry also enjoyed NASCAR. He had a love for animals and farming. He was a fan of John Deere.
Jerry is survived by his wife, Carol (Shepherd) Ferguson; one son, Ben Hoskins; two grandchildren, Abigail and Zachary Hoskins; one brother, Ronald Ferguson and Sharon Clark of Bucyrus; three sisters, Patricia Lepard and June Ferguson, both of New Washington, and Nancy (Steve) Kirgis of Bloomville; very special friends, Beverly and Doug Fagan of Bucyrus; and numerous nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his parents; two sisters, Judy Pace and Barbara Alt; and one daughter, Christina Marie.
There will be no services at this time. The Secor Funeral Home in New Washington, Ohio assisted the family with arrangements. Online condolences can be left for the family at www.secorfuneralhomes.com.

I will miss Jerry so much! He was the greatest brother in law anyone could ever have. His humor and smile, his chuckle, his jokes about big Al, his love for animals and his farm.His hard work I never knew a man that worked harder than Jerry did. !!! The love he has for all of us. !! And his bulls eye eggs will forever be called Jerrys breakfast! Jerry was more than a brother in law, he was my close friend. My heart is heavy and we all will miss my childrens and grandchildrens Uncle Jerry, WE know that our world lost a good man but heavan has rejoiced in a grand soul come home to rest. My sister Carol we all love you and are always here for you. !!
