Grethel Sallee, age 93, of Willard, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Tuesday, May 20, 2008 on her 93rd birthday. She was born May 20, 1915 in Bays, Kentucky to the late Marlen and Bessie (Roark) Back and has lived in Willard for the past 56 years. She was retired from the Pioneer Rubber Company in Willard. She was a member of the Church of God of Prophecy in Marion. She loved to go to church and enjoyed making quilts for her family.
She is survived by 8 sons, Melvin (Joyce) Back of FL, Frank (Norma) Sallee of FL, Kelly (Mary) Sallee of Willard, Paul (Donna) Sallee of FL, Ernie (Deb) Sallee of Shelby, Larry Sallee of North Fairfield, Donnie (Connie) Sallee of Willard and Dale (Vickie) Sallee of Crestline; 3 daughters, Jewel (Ellis) Sturgill of North Fairfield, Louise (Raymond) Adams of Willard and Bernita (Alvin) Weiss of Willard; 31 grandchildren, 56 great grandchildren; 9 great great grandchildren; 2 brothers, Gene Back of Kentucky and Ronald Back of Georgia; 2 sisters, Reavel Montgomery of Michigan and Evalena Puckett of Michigan.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Oscar Sallee in 1984; a daughter, Ella M. Gray in 2008; 6 brothers; and 5 sisters.
Visitation will be Friday, May 23, 2008 from 2-4 and 6-8 P.M. at the Secor Funeral Home in Willard. The funeral service will be Saturday, May 24, 2008 at the Church of God of Prophecy on Austin Drive in Willard at 11:00 AM with Rev. Scott Adams officiating. Burial will follow at the Greenfield Township Cemetery in Steuben, Ohio. Memorial expressions may be made to the Church of God of Prophecy in Marion, Ohio. I am so sorry for the loss of such a beautiful matriarch of your family! Larry(raggs) is one of the best men i ever have had oportunity to be friends with and MOM sure was an awsome person, she always had a kind word or special hugg to give and it always was right on time. She used to tell me how much she liked me when i would drop by to see larry. I am so sorry to find out so late of your familie loss but i know she is in heaven now singing with the angels all her favorite hymms and one day we will see her again PRAISE THE LORD. We will keep you all in our prayes as you go through this time of mourning. WHat a beautiful gift to the world a prize in heaven she is !

We will NEVER forget all the time we had with Grandma. She was so Wonderful. When she stayed with us for 2 weeks she really was a Blessing to us. She left us with so many good memories. Her smile alone was a light from heaven. We love you GRANDMA!We had so much fun with her. We will meet again. All our love and prayers to the family. How Blessed to have had such a wonderful mother. She will be missed, We love you Dad and Mom.
