Harold L. Porter, age 87, life long resident of Shiloh, Ohio, passed away on Wednesday, March 21, 2012 at MedCentral Shelby Hospital. He was born on August 4, 1924 in Shiloh. He is the son of Luella (Porter) Vaughn and Robert Porter. Harold was a 1942 graduate of Shiloh High School. He retired from PPG in Crestline and was a lifelong farmer. He was a life member of Shiloh American Legion Post #503. Harold loved trapping with his sons, fishing and camping with his whole family and taking his pet and companion, Jake for rides in his truck. He is a veteran, having served in the Army during WWII.
Harold is survived by his wife, Donna of 63 years; daughter, Betty (Wayne) Sexton; sons, Harold James (Tracy) Porter, William Porter, Dwayne (Beverly) Porter; 12 grandchildren, Michaela Oney, Camelia Sexton, Michael Sexton, Eric Sexton, Cody Sexton, James Porter, Luke Porter, Wendy Porter, Ryan Porter, Tricia Porter, Miranda Porter and Tasha Shepherd; 23 great grandchildren; one great-great granddaughter and one sister, Jeanette Vaughn.
He is preceded in death by his parents and brother, George Porter.
