Helen Jean King, age 84, of Plymouth, Ohio, passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family on Wednesday, November 10, 2021. She was born on July 27, 1937, in Minnie, Kentucky to the late Tramble and Lillian (Walters) Mitchell. Helen was a cosmetologist and artist. She was an amazing cook, loved to sew and paint, and most of all, she loved to spend time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren.

She is survived by a son, Gary (Beth) King of Shelby and a daughter, Lisa (Dave) Phillips of Plymouth. She is also survived by 6 grandchildren, Andy (Lisa) King, Brad (Emily) King, Lillian (Thomas) Welling, Dan (Amanda) Phillips, Sarah (Nick) Butorac and Molly Phillips and 11 great grandchildren, McKinnley, Audrey, Garrison, Charleigh, Alexandria, Clyde, Quinten, Lenore, Abigail, Mary and Francesca.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Ivan R. King who passed away February 14, 2021 and whom she married August 5, 1958 and two brothers, Tramble Mitchell, Jr. and Teddy R. Mitchell.

Visitation will be Sunday, November 14, 2021 from 4:00 to 6:00 PM and from 10:00 until the time of her service at 11:00 AM on Monday, November 15, 2021 with Elder Phillip Beverly officiating. Burial will follow at Greenlawn Cemetery in Plymouth. Memorial contributions may be made to Stein Hospice of Sandusky. Online condolences may be made to the family at www.secorfuneralhomes.com.

Dear Lisa and family. I'm so sorry to hear of your mom's passing. I know it has been a rough year for you but rest assured that you did all you could to make your mom feel very loved and cherished. Rely in your many memories and know that both of your parents are at rest in the loving arms of Jesus. You are in my thoughts and prayers.
