Helena M. Heydinger, age 91, of Willard, OH passed away peacefully on Saturday, August 28, 2021 at Mayfair Village Retirement Center in Columbus, Ohio. She was born February 18, 1930 in New Washington, Ohio to the late Walter A and Winifred (Blust) Kreim. She moved to Attica with her family in 1964 and then to Willard in 2002. She was a member of St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church in Willard. She was a volunteer at the Willard Mercy Hospital. She enjoyed square dancing, gardening, wood carving and reading.

She is survived by her husband, Daniel Heydinger, whom she married May 5, 1951; Delores Kreim, wife of her brother James Kreim.

Also survived by daughter, Rose Zuber; 2 sons and 3 daughters in law, Jeffrey and Sue Heydinger; Randall and Lisa Heydinger; Sharon Heydinger (wife of Brian Heydinger);15 grandchildren and 30 + great grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by 2 sons, Joseph and Brian Heydinger; daughter, Rebecca Roberts; brothers Walter Kreim, James Kreim, Bernard and his wife Mary Kreim.

It has been a very difficult decision to postpone a funeral. Because of COVID, we have decided to have a celebration of life for mom when it would be safer for Danny. We do want all who loved her to be with us on that day. It just can’t happen in this “climate” until we feel Danny would be safe to see all of you. And he really wants to visit with ALL of you!

Memorial contributions may be made to the St. Francis School or to the Willard Library. Online condolences may be made to the family at www.secorfuneralhomes.com.

I am so sorry for the loss of your beloved Helena. She was so sweet and kind, always with a smile. Our church ministry group delivered meals to her and Dan for quite a while. She was so pleasant and always more concerned for others than she was for herself. Rest in peace Helena.
