Henrietta Wright, age 77, resident of Plymouth, Ohio, passed away on Tuesday, June 30, 2020, at The Laurels of New London nursing home. She was born on November 6, 1942, in Floyd County, Kentucky, to the late Robert and Nora (Sexton) Vanderpool.

A woman who loved being a homemaker, caring for her family, she enjoyed crocheting, quilting, mowing the lawn, and spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Those left to cherish her memory are her daughter, Patty (James) Gullett of Plymouth; son, Brandon (Sharea) Wright of Columbus; eight grandchildren, Adam (Brittney), Ashley, Amber (Eric), Alize, Owen, Eve, Zoey, and Patrick; three great grandchildren, Cambria, Colton, and Nora; five siblings, Ronnie Vanderpool (Kara Harris-Crowell), Danny (Lesa) Vanderpool, Jimmy Vanderpool, Edna (Bob) Alfrey, Lucretta (Larry) Akers; sisters-in-law, Jean Vanderpool and Barb Vanderpool; and her precious dog, Louie. Also left to cherish her memory is her care giver, Penny Montgomery, who took care of Henrietta this last year; the family would love to thank her for being generous, loving, and kind to her.

In addition to her parents, Henrietta was preceded in death by her husband, Henry Wright; son, Steven Wright; and brothers, Jerry and Thurman Vanderpool.

Family and friends may gather at the Secor Funeral Home in Willard, on Friday, July 3, 2020, from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m., where her funeral service will take place at 4:00 p.m., with Pastor Greg Griffith officiating. Burial will follow in Maple Grove Cemetery in New Haven.
