Howard Bentley, age 78, resident of Shelby, Ohio, passed away on Wednesday, February 13, 2019, at Grant Medical Center in Columbus from injuries sustained in an automobile accident. He was born on August 13, 1940, in Pikeville, Kentucky, to the late Sol and Katie (Vanderpool) Bentley. Howard was a Deacon at the Freewill Baptist Church in Willard, and had enjoyed fishing, and listening to Christian and Bluegrass music. Howard loved his Lord and his family.

He is survived by his children, Sherri Darlene Bentley of Shelby, Ohio, and Michelle Lynn Bentley of Bradenton, Florida; grandchildren, Kayla Coppersmith, Trisha Coppersmith, Kayce Lu, and Cheyanne Babcock; great grandchildren, Aubree Coppersmith, and Dominic Eli Lu.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife of 51 years, Frankie Lorene Isaac; paternal grandparents, Allen Bentley and Susan Prater; maternal grandparents, Skilar Henry Vanderpool and Martha Vanderpool; and six siblings.

A memorial service for Howard will be on Sunday, February 17, 2019, at Freewill Baptist Church in Willard, at 6:00 P.M. with Pastor Ron Parsons officiating. The church will be open at 5:00 P.M.
