Ima Jean (Stephens) Stone, age 93, originally of Willard, Ohio passed away on Wednesday, August 17, 2022 at Liberty of Mansfield Nursing Home in Mansfield, Ohio where she was a resident for 10 years. She was born on December 4, 1928 in Floyd County, Kentucky to the late James and Martha (Whitaker) Stephens.

She worked at Midwest Industries for approximately 40 years, retiring in 1993. Ima Jean loved cooking and made sure no one left her home hungry. She enjoyed shopping and going on vacations; she was so proud to tell everyone she had been to every state except, Alaska and Hawaii. Most of all, she cherished the time she spent with her family.

Ima Jean was a wonderful, caring and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister and aunt. She is survived by her three children, Iris R. (David) Hornung of Shelby, James D. Stone of Shelby and O. David (Deborah) Stone of Willard; three grandchildren, Melissa (Gus) Markou, Kristen (Jake) Yontz and Lisa Stone; five step grandchildren, Nicole Lieurence, Connie Knight, Nathan Warren, Christopher Warren and Clinton Warren; numerous great grandchildren; sisters, Joy (Cleophas) Slone of Liberty, Kentucky, Wanda (Enoch) Duff of Greenfield, Indiana, Patricia (Reid) Hearn of Mayfield, Kentucky; one brother, Jack (Joyce) Stevens of Hueysville, Kentucky; and numerous cousins, nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, Ima Jean was preceded in death by her husband, Oliver, who passed away in 1981; daughter-in-law, Barbara Adams Stone; four sisters, Edna Grace Stephens, Ruth Hall, Edith Patrick and Lorene Meineke; and five brothers, Curtis Stephens, Cledis Stephens, Clyde Stevens, Fred Stephens and William Stephens.

Family and friends may visit on Saturday, August 20, 2022 at the Secor Funeral Home in Willard from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. with her funeral service following at 11:00 a.m. with Dr. Ricky Branham officiating. Burial will follow at Greenwood Cemetery in Willard. Memorial contributions can be made to the Alzheimer’s Association. Racine, Davy, Denny, and Families, I am so sorry to hear of Ima Jean's death. Her life was full: family, travel, and staying busy. You can be proud of all that she has done for those around her.
