James E. Beard age 76 of Attica, Ohio passed away Friday, August 28, 2026 at Stein Hospice in Sandusky, Ohio. He was born September 6, 1949 to the late Thurman and Rose (Sweet) Beard.
He formerly worked at Pioneer Rubber Company for 32 years and Seneca Tile for 20 years. Jim enjoyed working on all his tractors especially his John Deere A. That was his pride and joy. He loved going to tractor pulls and pulling his tractors. Jim loved spending time with his children and grandchildren camping and giving all his grandchildren rides on his John Deere. Jim was always taking buggy rides all over with his wife "Maw" and grandkids and his beloved dog Bella. Jim loved watching and feeding all his birds. You would always find Jim tinkering on everything in his workshop or watching all his old westerns.
He is survived by children, Brian (Carla) Featheringill, Lori Shade(deceased), Joshua (Tammy) Beard, Amanda (William) Zellner, Jason(Laura) Beard, Jeremy (Andrea) Beard and Brenda Hattaway; 26 grandchildren, 4 great grandchildren, 1 great grandchild to be expected,and nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his wife, Jennifer Ann "Maw" Beard and parents,Thurman and Rose Beard; daughter, Lori A. Shade; granddaughter, Amber Claytor and two sisters, Mary Beard and Amy Miles.
Visitation will be Friday, September 4, 2026 from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Secor Funeral Home in Willard, Ohio, and where the funeral service will be at 3:00 PM with Pastor David Montgomery officiating.
