James J. “Jim” Predieri, age 84, resident of Willard, Ohio passed away on Monday, December 8, 2008 in Willard Mercy Hospital. He was born on October 10, 1924 in Auburn Twp. Crawford County, Ohio to the late Isaiah and Rose (Pasonato) Predieri and had been a Willard resident for 58 years. He was an honorary graduate of Willard High School and a veteran of the US Army having served during WWII. Jim had been employed for 46 years with the Pioneer Rubber and worked for the Willard City Schools as a ground maintenence man. He was a member of the St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church where he was also part-time janitor at the St. Francis School. He was a member of the Willard American Legion and was 4th Degree Knight of Columbus.
He is survived by his wife, Carolyn (Fenner) Predieri whom he married on June 16, 1944; four children, Timothy (Cindy) Predieri of Watonga, OK; Mark (Amy) Predieri of Sunbury, OH; Kevin (Kelly) Predieri of Beavercreek, OH; Kathryn Predieri of Akron, OH; seven grandchildren; 4 great grandchildren; a sister, Alma Collins of Plymouth.
In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by two sisters and six brothers.
Friends may call at the Secor Funeral Home in Willard on Wednesday, December 10, 2008 form 2-4 and 6-8 PM where a vigil service will be held at 7:30 PM. Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Thursady at 11:00 AM at St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church with Father Stanley S. Szybka officiating. Burial will be held on later date in St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery. Memorial expressions can be made to the St. Francis School. Online condolences can be made at www.secorfuneralhomes.com

I was so sorry to hear of your loss. I don’t recieve a paper and have just heard the sad news. Know that you are in my thoughts and prayers. He was a wonderful neighbor and person.

Aunt Carol and Family-our hearts,thoughts and prayers go out to you all at this time. We were so glad in our last trip home to be able to see Uncle Jimmy and you. We regret that we won’t be able to make it back for the proceedings but rest assured you are all on our minds. I can only imagine the reunion those Predieri boys are having, geez… do I feel sorry for the Man upstairs ! ?
