James "Red" Williams, age 81, of Willard, Ohio, passed away on Wednesday, July 27, 2022 at Metro Hospital in Cleveland, Ohio. He was born on September 23, 1940 in Norwalk, Ohio to the late Harold and Evelyn (Phillips) Williams. Red was a Heavy Equipment Operator for Union Local #18. He was a member of the American Legion, AMVETS and the Moose. He enjoyed fishing and mowing lawn.
Red is survived by his wife, Kathleen (Walter) Williams, whom he married on February 12, 1966; son, Gerald (Christina) Williams of Monroeville, Ohio; daughter, Tamara (Michael) Billman of Norwalk, Ohio; grandchildren, Alek Hughes, Emily Hughes, Jordan Williams and Jacob Williams; and many nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his grandson Nickolas Hughes.
Visitation will be at Secor Funeral Home in Willard, Ohio on Wednesday, August 3, 2022 from 4:00 PM - 7:00 PM. His Funeral Mass will be at Our Lady of Hope Catholic Church in Attica, Ohio on Thursday, August 4, 2022 at 11:00 AM. Burial will follow at St. Sebastian Catholic Cemetery in Bismark, Ohio. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Sorrowful Mother Shrine in Bellevue, Ohio or to the donor's choice.
