It is with profound sadness we announce the passing of Jean Ann Davis (Gates) on August 8, 2022 at the age of 67. Following a lengthy battle with copd, she peacefully took her last breath with her daughter Amanda by her side. She was an adoring wife to the love of her life, the late Dennis Davis who she now joins with eternally. Jean was born December 13, 1954 to Arline Gates and the late Harold Gates. She was the baby sister to Janet (Joe) Androsac and to Gerald Gates. She worked for pioneer Balloon Company until they closed and she returned to school to become a barber.

Jean loved cooking, mushroom hunting, playing poker, going to the casino with her best friend, her mother Arline. Her battle with her own medical issues and the passing of her husband showed her courage in facing life challenges with a smile and at times with her famous making of a "little beer". Her grandchildren were the light of her life and she was so proud of them. There wasn't a dog she didn't love or a stray cat she didn't welcome. She will always be remembered as a caring wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend.

She is preceded in death by her husband Dennis Davis, her father Harold Gates and a special companion, her beagle Bubbs. She is survived by Daughter Amanda (Daniel) Bowser, Stepson Duane (Kelly) Davis, Stepson Gregg (Briana) Davis, Grandchildren Nickolas and Allyson Bowser, Mary, Madison and Bryson Davis. Mother Arline Gates, Sister Janet (Joe) Androsac, Brother Gerald Gates and Uncle William Eberly.

Respecting her wishes there will be no service. She will be cremated and her ashes joined with her husband where they will be reunited and together forever. A celebration of life for them both will be arranged at a later date. Special thanks to staff at Southern Care Hospice of Milan. Please consider donating in her honor to the Huron County Humane Society. Secor Funereal Home in Willard is honored to be assisting Jean's family with the funeral arrangements. Sincere sympathy to Amanda, and Jean's family. What a wonderful caring cousin she was. I am so glad that I got to know her during the recent years. We would chat at times, and I always enjoyed her casino ventures. She was so much fun, and made sure that everyone around her was well taken care of high. Fly high Jean!
