Jeannette P. Kehres, age 93, of New Washington, Ohio, passed away Friday, July 25, 2025 at the Cypress Pointe Nursing Home in Englewood, Ohio.  She was born on October 6, 1931 in Seneca County, Ohio, to the late Dale and Doris (Spencer) Huffman. She was a 1949 graduate of Attica High School and lived in the New Washington area all of her life.  Jeannette worked for the Herald Printing Company for 27 years.  She was a member of St. Bernard's Catholic Church, the Rosary Alter Society, and the church choir.  She enjoyed flowers, reading,  playing cards, doing word searches, but most of all, spending time with her family and friends. Jeannette was a fan of Cleveland Indians, Cavs, and Ohio State basketball.

She is survived by 2 daughters and spouses, Charlene and Tim Mullins of Dayton and Mary and Brian Bevier of Nolanville, TX; 4 sons and spouses, Joe and Laurie Kehres of Mansfield; Dave and Jenny Kehres of Westerville; Pete Kehres of New Washington; and Matt Kehres of Palm Bay, FL;  9 grandchildren, Dan (Marlen) Mullins of Germany; Erica (Kyle) Garner of Mount Vernon; Braden (Marrissa) Kehres of Mount Gilead; Heather (Kurt) Fischbach of Galena; Christina Kehres of Nashville, TN; Michael (Hayley) Kehres of Howard; Koda Kehres of New Washington; Paul (Carly) Bogan of Fellsmere, FL and Kayla (Brennan) Charley of Temple, TX; 12 great grandchildren, Cody, Vivian, Grace and Celine Mullins, Audrey and Elena Garner, Evan, Leah and Bryson Fischbach, Allison and Tegan Charley and William "Joey" Kehres.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Charles "Punk" Kehres, whom she married on April 18, 1953; a son, Phil Kehres; a grandson, Jeff Mullins; an infant sister, Opal June Huffman and a sister, Pauline Herr.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, July 30th from 5-8 pm at Secor Funeral Home in New Washington. Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Thursday, July 31st at 11:00 am at St. Bernard Catholic Church in New Washington with Father Eric Mueller and Father Frank Kehres officiating.  A private burial will be at the St. Bernard Catholic Cemetery in New Washington, Ohio at a later date.  Memorial contributions may be made to St. Bernard Rosary Altar Society or to New Washington Library. Sorry to hear that Aunt Jeanette has left us for now, and for the painful feeling of loss her family is left with. I cannot recall a time when I saw her angry. She was a great woman and a strong support to her family for as long as I've known her.
