Jewel “Bunny” Cole, age 62, resident of Willard, passed away on Thursday, February 8, 2007 at her home. She was born on May 23, 1944 in Magoffin County, KY to the late Herndon and Mildred (Watson) Haney and had been a resident of Willard since 1948. She was a long-time employee of the Country Kitchen in Willard. She loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. Mrs. Cole lived her life for the Lord, she was of the holiness faith.
She is survived by her husband, Henry J. Cole whom she wed on August 4, 1961; four children, Brad and Deb Cole of Willard, Tony and Sandy Cole of Georgia, Gina Jordan of Willard, and Angel and Eric Long of Willard; eight grandchildren; three great grandchildren; two brothers, Darrell Haney of Texas and Sonny Haney of Shelby; and two sisters, Pansy Kilgore of Willard and Fern Oney of Willard.
She is preceded in death by her parents; sister, Rita Holida; two brothers, Paul and Gene Haney; and a grandson, Troy Jordan Jr.
Friends may call at the Secor Funeral Home in Willard on Sunday, February 11, 2007 from 2:00 – 4:00 & 6:00 – 8:00 PM. Funeral services will be held at the funeral home on Monday, February 12, 2007 at 10:00 AM with Raymond Holida officiating. Burial will follow at the Greenwood Cemetery in Willard.
