Joe Thomas Mahon Sr., age 73, longtime resident of Shelby, Ohio passed away peacefully on Wednesday, October 28, 2026 at the Willow’s in Willard. He was born on April 24, 1953 in Delbarton, WV to the late Horace and Corena (Wheeler) Mahon.
Joe was a jack of all trades and could fix anything put in front of him. He enjoyed being outdoors, whether it was taking rides on his Harley or hunting and fishing. Joe could often be found watching his Westerns on tv at full blast. His grandkids were the light of his life and enjoyed spending time with them.
Joe is survived by his wife, Kendra Mahon; children, Joe (Allison) Mahon Jr., Heath Mahon, Seth Mahon and Logan Mahon; numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren; five sisters and numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son, Luke Mahon.

Joe Joe, hearing this news just broke my heart. I still sit and think about walking in your room at the Willows and seeing your smile. The way you would flip me off made me laugh because you would be smiling the entire time. I am going to miss you so much. No more pain, though!! That is the only good thing I can think of that came out of this. I love you, Joe Joe!! 💔

I can never think of my childhood without thinking about Joe and Marsh. We were together a lot until more kids arrived in our families and a chore getting us all corralled into the car to visit. Then too many kids in the car to drive to W Va to visit Mamaw and Papaw. Those visit were ALWAYS special.
