Joellyn Snyder, age 71, lifelong resident of Willard, Ohio, passed away Friday, August 29, 2025, at the OhioHealth Hospital in Mansfield, Ohio. She was born in Willard on December 7, 1953 to the late Russell and Margaret Ann (Conkle) McDowell.
A 1972 Willard High School graduate, Joellyn married the love of her life, George A Snyder Sr on November 5, 1977 and he preceded her in death on May 3, 2020. She went on to work for and retire from Pepperidge Farm after more than 25 years of employment. She was an Elks #1370 survivor widow and a member of the Shelby Eagles #763 and Willard Moose #2153.
An avid sports fan of The Ohio State Buckeyes, Cleveland Guardians and Cleveland Browns, she also enjoyed cheering on her great nieces and nephews in all of their young sporting endeavors. Joellyn loved visiting Lake Erie and casinos, camping and fishing. She also looked forward to her winters in Texas.
She is survived by her son, George (Kim) Snyder Jr.; daughter, Pamela (Snyder) Cook; two brothers, Greg (Donna) McDowell and Rick (Sharon) McDowell; one grandchild; several nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews; and her canine companion, Chloe.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, George A. Snyder Sr; a son-in-law, David Cook; and one grandson.
