John Eric Hedeen peacefully passed away the evening of December 9, 2018.

He was born in Bucyrus, Ohio on November 29, 1923 to Axel and Lois (Kinsel) Hedeen. He graduated from Shiloh High School, attained his BAS in Mechanical Engineering from Ohio Northern University and his MBA from the University of Miami, Coral Gables.

John proudly served the US Army from 1944-1946 and was a WWII Veteran. He was a distinguished Civil Servant retiring from the Pentagon in 1974.

He and his wife, Dorothy, relocated to Plymouth, Ohio in 1978 where he owned All Seasons Realty.

He Served his community as an active member of the Lutheran Church and past Commander of Garret-Reist Post 503, Ehret Parcel Post 447, Richland County and 4th Division of the Fighting Fifth District of Ohio American Legion.

He is survived by his wife Dorothy (Guthrie), son James Philip Hedeen (Susan McConnaughey), daughter Kristen Kae Hedeen, 5 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by son Eric Charles Hedeen.

Viewing will be on Friday, December 14, 2018 from 4:00 - 7:00 PM at Secor Funeral Home in Plymouth, Ohio where his funeral service will be on Saturday, December 15, 2018 at 11:00 AM with Pastor Blanche Tyree officiating. I knew John through a Military connection but mainly over the years it was an Appraisal business connection...A nice guy for sure... the family has my condolences....
