John “Ricky” Dye, age 66, of Willard, Ohio, passed away on Monday, December 5, 2022 at Willard Mercy Hospital. He was born on March 14, 1956 in Floyd County, KY to the late Jack and Ethel (Gayheart) Dye. John was a dedicated employee for 46 years at MTD in Willard. He enjoyed horseshoes, mushroom hunting, marble collecting and watching Ohio and Kentucky Sports.
He is survived by his daughters, Kiesha (Ryan Christy) Berger of Ashland, Ohio and Amber (Jason) Peyton of Mansfield, Ohio; grandchildren, Taylor (Devin) Hass of Bucyrus, Ohio; Riley Berger of Ashland, Ohio; and Gracie May of Mansfield, Ohio; partner, Jill Paramore and her children, Kindra Stevens, Ashley (Chad) Millisor, Chelsey (Jonah) Paramore; grandchildren, Raven, Shawn, Kaidence, Trevor, Alexis and Stella; and great grandchildren, Brooklyn, Natalynn, and Kort; brothers, Rodney (Glenda) Dye, James Dye, Gregory (Esther) Dye; sisters, Judy Gufffey, Jackie Merle Bollinger and Marlene Sword; and numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded by siblings, Willie Dye, Polly Lipps, and Lawrence Dye; and brothers-in-law, Don Guffey and Randy Bollinger.
Visitation will be at Secor Funeral Home in Plymouth, Ohio on Thursday, December 8, 2022 from 3:00 PM until 7:00 PM. His funeral service will be on Friday, December 9, 2022 at 11:00 AM with Pastor Merlin Dye officiating. Burial will follow at Mt. Hope Cemetery in Shiloh, Ohio.
