Joyce Ann (Bowman)(Wince) Craig born in Plymouth, Ohio on June 2,1933 passed away on June 9,2014 in Hemet, California. She was 81 years old. She was preceded in death by her husband Harold Craig, and grandson Justin Wince. She is survived by her sons Jeffrey (Donn) Wince of Mancos, CO and Jason (Kim) Craig of Rancho Cucamonga, CA; Grandchildren Janine (Ivan) Thomas, Jonathan Wince, James Craig,Luke Craig, Matthew Craig, John Craig, Great Grandchild Hazel Thomas, sister Janice(Don) Barnthouse, brother John (Blanche) Bowman.
She held various jobs in life including Civilian AFB: Wilkins AFB (Shelby, OH);Hill AFB(Ogden,OH);Norton AFB (San Bernardino, CA):Naval Weapon Center (Norco, CA). Engineered Motor Parts, Inc (EMPI – Riverside, CA), Perkin-Elmer (Pomona, CA). She was also involved with BPW (Upland, CA), Lions, Elks, American Sewing Guild
(ASG), Trinity Lutheran Church of Hemet, CA, former member of First Lutheran Church,Ontario, CA, a founding member of Cross and Crown Lutheran Church of Rancho Cucamonga, CA, First Lutheran Church of Plymouth, OH and APICS (Upland, CA). She founded Hal-Joy Ceramics with her husband, Harold, in San Jacinto, CA. Her interests included sewing, quilting, reading, computers, learning, antiques, Siamese cats, painting, and public service. She also enjoyed traveling between her homes in California, and Ohio.
A memorial service and celebration of her life will be held at the First Lutheran Church, 51 W. Broadway St., Plymouth, OH on Monday, July 7, 2014 at 11:00 am. Graveside service immediately following at Greenlawn Cemetery in Plymouth, Ohio.
