Oh Shelly….. I just heard about your beloved mom’s passing tonight when I came into work. Having lost my own mom (suddenly) as well, I won’t say I know how you feel, but I surely do understand the pain, the sense of shock, and the surrealness that you’re (undoubtedly) experiencing at this time. The profound sense of loss hasn’t quite set in yet….those days are still to come….when in the quiet of the night and everyone is gone away, it hits you like 1000 erupted volcanoes and a million thunderbolts the realization that your life will never be the same again. Ever. I think losing your mom, that beautiful and amazing woman, who carried you under her heart and who loved you unconditionally through it ALL, is a loss unlike any other. I think it’s especially difficult when it happens so out of the blue and your heart was so shockingly blindsided with this unexpected reality.
I know you and your family have a lot of loving support surrounding you right now. . . That’s a blessing. Please know that I, too, hold you close in thought and prayer. I pray that God will strengthen you deep in your soul… the kind of strength that will enable you to bear the sorrowful burdens that you must now bear…and the kind of strength that will help you to be a source of strength for your father and other family members as well.
Much love and big hugs…
