Julie Ann Broughton, age 65, passed away on April 5th, 2026, in Willard, Ohio. She was born on March 19th, 1961, in Attica, Ohio, to Richard and Marilyn (Martin) Ehresman.

Julie was a graduate of Seneca East High School and later graduated from Providence School of Nursing and Bowling Green State University with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing.

Julie later made her home in Cincinnati, Ohio, where she built her family. She married Donald Broughton Jr. on May 22nd, 1993, and their son Aaron Broughton was born shortly after. Julie worked for the Jewish Hospital in Cincinnati and in home health. She took pride in her work and loved caring for her patients. Julie was very involved with the American Legion, Buckeye Girls State, and Holy Trinity Church in Norwood. Julie had never met a stranger, and if she did, they were not strangers for long. She had a kind spirit, a caring heart, and a love for all people.

Julie is survived by her husband, Donald Broughton, of Cincinnati, Ohio; her son, Aaron Broughton, of Cincinnati; her mother, Marilyn Ehresman, of Attica, Ohio; her brother Richard  Ehresman and his wife Sharlyn Ehresman of Attica, Ohio; two nieces, Alexxys Ehresman and her wife Noreen Killian of Levittown, Pennsylvania, and Abbilyn Stephens and her husband Kollin Stephens of Green Springs, Ohio; and one nephew, Austin Ehresman of Toledo, Ohio.

She is preceded in death by her father, Richard Ehresman, as well as her mother and father-in-law, Lema and Donald Broughton Sr.

Visitation will be Saturday April 18th, 10am-11am with a mass to follow at Holy Trinity Church, 2420 Drex Ave. Cincinnati, Ohio 45212. Reception will include light snacks and refreshments at Indian Mound Cafe. Desserts are welcome.
