Kathleen West, age 84, resident of Willard, Ohio, passed away on Monday, August 6, 2018 at Blossom Nursing and Rehabilitation in Willard. She was born on August 30, 1933 in Hueysville, Kentucky to the late Everett and Eunice (Saunders) Patton. Kathleen was a 1951 Willard High School graduate. She was offered a 4 year Presidential Scholarship to Heidelberg University, but had turned it down when she met and married, Thomas "Tim" West, on March 14, 1953. She was Payroll Supervisor at MTD in Willard for 42 years. Kathleen was a 70 year member of the First Assembly of God in Willard. She was also part of the Red Hats, American Legion Auxiliary, Huron County Republican Women, volunteer at the local food bank, and the volunteer center of Huron County. Kathleen was an avid reader and enjoyed singing and music.
Kathleen is survived by her 2 daughters, Pamela (Gene) Williams Rumer of Perrysburg, Kathy (Barry) Tuttle of New Haven; 2 grandchildren, Sheena (Aaron) Williams Nyros of Columbus, Thomas Tuttle of New Haven; and a great granddaughter, Juniper Nyros of Columbus.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 42 years, Thomas West; brother, Adrian Patton; and aunt and uncle who loved and raised her like she was their own, Thurs and Orville "Red" Horne.
