Kay Breyman, age 96, of Bethany Village in Centerville, passed away Thursday, September 24, 2009. She was born on February 25, 1913 in Canton, grew up in Greenwich, lived her adult years in Willard and moved to Dayton in 1993.
She lived a full and meaningful life, devoting herself to her family, her many friends and community service. In Willard she held leadership positions in the Grace Methodist Church, Eastern Stars, Girl Scouts, Daughters of the American Revolution, the Willard Garden Club and the Historical Society. She was instrumental in promoting Willard as the “City of Blossoms,” developing and managing the Willard Railroad Museum, creation of the Willard area Military Rolls, and the identification of the 100+ year old homes in Willard. She was an avid bridge player, genealogist, antique collector, gardener and traveler.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert W. Breyman. She is survived by her daughter, Geri Fraley (Larry) of Leesburg, FL, daughter, Jacque Ryan (Bill) of Centerville, OH and son, Butch Thompson (Pat) of Willard, seven grandchildren and eleven great grandchildren. She will be fondly remembered by all who knew her and greatly missed by those whose lives she recently touched. A celebration of her life will be held at the Depot in the Park in Willard, Ohio on Saturday, October 17 from 2:00-4:00pm.
