Lena Mae Branham, age 74 of Willard, Ohio, passed away on Saturday, March 28, 2015 at Cleveland Clinic Hospital. She was born on September 19, 1940 in Hazard, Kentucky to the late Edman and Mamie (Lykins) Pugh. Lena had been a Willard resident for over 70 years.
Lena accepted Jesus Christ as her Lord and personal Savior from a young age and because of that had a very blessed life. She was a member of Ripley Chapel and also enjoyed attending various church singings, revivals, and fellowship dinners. Lena followed what 2 Timothy 4:7 says by “fighting a good fight, finishing the course, and keeping the faith.” Lena is now rejoicing in the splendor of Heaven with a new body with all of her family and friends that have gone before her.
The most important thing to Lena after God was definitely her family. She loved her husband, Robert L. Branham, whom she is survived by. They were married on August 6, 1960 and were blessed with a wonderful marriage. He stayed by her side and comforted her as she took her last breath. The “apples of her eyes” were her two surviving sons: Ricky L. Branham and Randall “Randy” S. Branham. Lena was always willing to go the extra mile to spend time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She is survived by five grandchildren and two daughter-in-laws: Rev. Ricky and Victoria (Wilson) Branham, Joshua and Meagan (Music) Branham, Amanda Branham, KateLyn Branham, and MadaLyn Branham; Eight great-grandchildren: Wyatt Robinson, Ricky Branham, EmmaLyn Robinson, Riley Branham, Mila Branham, Vera Branham, Gabriel Branham, and KimberLyn Branham. She also greatly loved all of her siblings and all of their families being survived by many nieces and nephews.
Lena dedicated her working career to the Pioneer Rubber Company, which is where she enjoyed working for over 38 years. She also liked antiquing, especially collecting lamps and furniture, going to flea-markets, having garage sales, and spending time with friends.
In addition to her parents, Edman and Mamie (Lykins) Pugh, she was preceded in death by six brothers and one sister: Billy Ray Pugh, Edman Jr. Pugh, Anna Lee (Pugh) Gullett, Arnold Pugh, Bobbie Gene Pugh, Wayne Pugh, and Robert Pugh.
Visitation will be held at Secor Funeral Home in Willard, Ohio on Thursday, April 2, 2015 from 2:00 to 4:00 pm and 6:00 to 8:00 pm. The funeral will also be held at Secor Funeral Home on Friday, April 3, at 11:00 am with her grandson Reverend Ricky Branham officiating. Burial will follow at Maple Grove Cemetery in New Haven, Ohio. A dinner will be held immediately following at the Depot in the Park in Willard. Memorial contributions can be made to Ripley Chapel through Secor Funeral Home. Online condolences can be made at www.secorfuneralhomes.com
