We only recently heard of your mother’s death and want to extend to your family our sincerest sympathy for your loss. We pray you will be comforted by many happy memories.
I was fortunate to have spent some time with her when she was a substitute teacher. The days that she was at the high school were always more delightful because of her charm and wit.

Susan and David Tissue - May 20, 2011

Dear “cousins”,
I was sorry to hear of your sad loss. Aunt Leora was so much fun to be around. I always enjoyed hearing her stories and when visiting her and my mom in Florida, it was always fun traveling around with them. When we all went out to lunch in Willard (I carried the purses!) Leora always told me how she was planning a trip to Bluffton…hmmm, wonder if she ever went!
David and I send our deepest sympathy to you all.

Dear Deb & family,
I’m sorry I was not able to attend the showing or the service. You and your family are in my thoughts and prayers. My heart goes out to you. I remember the many times we chatted about our parents and shared stories about our moms. So much fun sharing those stories.

I am so sorry to hear of Leora’s passing. She was one great lady who enjoyed a full life. I have many memories of spending time at the house with Lee Ann and Leora sitting in the chair – feet propped up on the ottoman with a book in hand. She always had a tale to tell and it was so enjoyable listening to her. God bless you during your time of loss and reward you with many memories to cherish.

May God comfort you during this time. I know what it is like to loose a father at sixteen and just so recently my dear mother. It is so hard. Know that your loved one is in heaven with our Dear Lord, and has all that have gone before her with her in complete happiness. No more sickness or age, just joy. Share your memories of her often and she will live on, not only in your heart but in the hearts and minds of your loved ones.

Greg Jump and Sondra - May 18, 2011

It is with great sadness that I have learned of Leora’s passing while vacationing in California with my wife Sondra. Leora was a friend from childhood of my own mother (the late Cleo Jump)and they went from being school mates to being sisters-in-law. “Aunt” Leora always treated me with great kindness and I will remember forever her wonderful sense of humor. Her passing marks the end of an era — she was the last of her generation. Sondra and I extend our condolences to Mike, David, Debbie, Lee Ann and their respective families. Special condolences to Jim and Sandy, each of whom has lost a mother and a mother-in-law within the span of a few days.
