Leslie W. “Butch” King, age 70, resident of Willard, Ohio passed away on Saturday, July 2, 2016 at his home surrounded by family. He was born on November 8, 1945 in Salyersville, Kentucky to the late Lewis and Ruth (Reed) King. Butch was a veteran of the U.S. Army and served during the Vietnam War. He then went onto working at MTD in Shelby as a supervisor retiring after 35 years. After retirement Butch enjoyed spending time outdoors tinkering in his garage, watching old movies, and especially spending time with his grandchildren.
He is survived by his wife, Kathy (Baugh) King, whom he married on August 12, 1971; 3 children, Jennifer (Robert) Reed. Kevin King (Laura Long), and Sarah Oney; 8 grandchildren, Tyler, Dylan, Samantha, Andrew, Logan, Nathan, John and Nevaeh; Shane Beverly, whom Butch considered one of his own grandchildren; 2 brothers, Paul (Zella) King, and Owen Cleve (Elsiea) King; 1 sister, Patricia Davis; nieces nephews and other relatives.
In addition to his parents, Butch was preceded in death by a daughter, Rebecca King; and 1 brother, Ray King.
Friends may call at the Secor Funeral Home in Willard, Ohio on Wednesday, July 6, 2016 from Twelve Noon to 2:00 PM where the funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM with Chaplain David Detwiler officiating. Burial will follow in Greenwood Cemetery in Willard. Memorial contributions can be made to the Stein Hospice of Sandusky. Online condolences can be made at www.secorfuneralhome.com
