Following World War II she met and married Reinhard Harold Mack of Clintonville, Wisconsin, when he was stationed at the lighthouse on Put-In-Bay. In the early 1950’s they moved to Plymouth and opened a grocery store on the square and later built a new store that is now known as Community Market.

Lois was a member of First Lutheran Church, serving on Council and Women’s Group. She was also a Lion’s Club member, school reading volunteer, a Food Pantry and Blood Bank volunteer among other community groups.

Along with her husband they raised five children: Charles Mack (Vicky), John Mack and Susan Broderick, all of Plymouth, Patricia Mack of Vermilion and Mary Jo Carter (deceased). She was a wonderful grandmother to fifteen grandchildren: Annya Broderick, Allyson Carrier (Rob), Jeremy Broderick (Amy), Jason Broderick, Alexandra Drouhard, Larry Drouhard (Tessa), Bryan Mack (Heather), Britne Allison (Jessup Burton), Sarah Ally VanEvery (Jason), Emily Figley (Drew), Leslie Mack, Chloe Mack, Cody Granneman (Hannah), Katlyn Buono (Joe) and Kacy Granneman. She is also survived by great-grandchildren: Heidi, Victoria and James Broderick, Charley Carrier, London Drouhard, Lily and Nolan Mack, Isabella and Pierce Thompson, Natalie and Cadence Allison, Ruby and Audrey Rayfield, Dempsey Granneman, Ava Figley and Vivianna McGary; son-in-law, Kim Carter; and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, R.H. Mack; parents, Josephine and Paul Webster; daughter, Mary Jo Carter; mother-in-law/father-in-law, Sarah and Valentine Mack; sisters, Jane Garafalo, Gail Smith, Patricia Miller and Paula Baty and their spouses; brothers-in-law, Charles and Clarence Mack and their spouses; and several nieces and nephews.

Family and friends may visit at the Secor Funeral Home in Plymouth on Friday, January 30, 2026, from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Visitation will resume on Saturday, January 31, 2026, at First Lutheran Church in Plymouth from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. A memorial service will begin at 11:00 a.m. with Pastor Jeremy Lambert officiating.
