Lola Marie Eckstein, age 98, former resident of New Washington, Ohio, passed away on Friday, April 13, 2018 at Carlisle Place in Bucyrus, Ohio. She was born on March 12, 1920 in Chatfield, Ohio to the late Frederick and Edna (Schaal) Kalb and had been a resident of New Washington most of her life. Lola was a member of the St. John's Lutheran Church and was an avid cook, baker, and seamstress

She is survived by her three daughters and sons-in-laws, Susan and Ken Rothhaar of Chatfield, OH, Nancy Kaufman of Springboro, OH, and Carol and Tom Garverick of Dublin, OH; seven grandchildren, Aaron (Michelle) Rothhaar, Matt Rothhaar, Amanda (Scott) Keith, Phil (Kelly) Kaufman, Joy Kaufman, Ben (Danielle) Kaufman, and Anna (Sean) Penner; 14 great grandchildren, Megan, Wyatt, Ellayna, Eastin and Kyna Rothhaar; Hayden and Derek Keith; Barrett, Benson, Beatrice and Broderick Kaufman; Lillian, Evelyn and Arthur Penner; three sisters-in-law, Anna Winans, Mary (Don) Heiby, and Jean Kalb; and numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Arthur W. Eckstein; two brothers, Marvin and Harold Kalb; two sisters, Freda Dobbins and Ilene Hern; 2 infant sisters; and a son-in-law, Paul Kaufman.

Visitation will be held at the Secor Funeral Home in New Washington, Ohio on Monday, April 16, 2018 from 6:00 to 8:00 PM where the funeral service will be held on Tuesday at 11:00 AM with Reverend Tom Pairan officiating. Burial will follow at St. John's Lutheran Cemetery in New Washington. Memorial contributions may be made to St. John's Lutheran Church, 203 E. Mansfield St. New Washington, OH 44854.
