Mac D. Montgomery, age 79, former Willard, Ohio resident went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, August 18, 2016 at the St. Joseph Warren Hospital in Warren, Ohio. He was born on September 8, 1936 in Paintsville, Kentucky to the late Lee and Amanda (Tackett) Montgomery. Mac had worked for Stambaugh Farms in Celeryville and later worked as a foreman concrete finisher. He enjoyed music, especially the harmonica.
He is survived by his two brothers, James (Vanessa) Montgomery, Wilbur (Linda) Montgomery both of Willard; a brother-in-law, Dan (Darlene) Kilgore of California; two sisters-in-law, Shirley (Harvey) Puckett of Greenwich, and Alice (Jerry) Hamons of Delphi; and numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife, Ruth Ann (Kilgore) Montgomery in 2007; and five brothers, Willard, James D., Jesse, Dempsey, and Ben Montgomery and a sister, Liz Spears.
Visitation will be held at the Ripley Chapel Free Pentecostal Church of God on Old State Road in Greenwich, Ohio on Monday, August 22, 2016 from 2:00 – 4:00 P.M. and 6:00 – 8:00 P.M. A funeral service will be Tuesday, August 23, 2016 at 11:30 A.M. with Rev. Ricky Branham and Rev. John Montgomery officiating. Burial will follow in Maple Grove Cemetery in New Haven, Ohio.
