Margaret Ann Bartow, 86, of Monroeville, Ohio passed away on Saturday, January 2, 2021 at St. Vincent Mercy Hospital in Toledo, Ohio. She was born on October 5, 1934 in Steuben County, Indiana to the late Verr D. and Lorraine M. (Mortorff) McClish.

Margaret was a member of the Christian Alliance Church, and her relationship with God was important to her.

She enjoyed learning and taking on new challenges. As an accomplished seamstress, she took up quilting after retirement. Many friends and family members were gifted with her beautiful creations. She was also an avid reader and an able gardener.

Love for her family was her most earnest earthly pursuit. She was always ready to lend a helping hand and eagerly passed on skills to children, grandchildren and even great grandchildren. Time was always available for conversation and she loved everyone unconditionally.

She will forever be remembered by her children, Richard (Pam) Swert, Sharon (Joe) Kinder, Jerry (Sue) Swert, Jean (Gary) Lydy and Robin Swert; 13 grandchildren; 14 great grandchildren; siblings, Arden (Norma) McClish, Joan Roth and Mary Ellen Kennedy; and numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, Margaret was preceded in death by her husband, Walter “Jim” Bartow; and siblings, Lois Mills, Howard McClish, John McClish and David McClish.

Family and friends are invited to visit on Friday, January 8, 2021 at the Christian Alliance Church, 124 W Maple St., Willard, Ohio from 1:00 p.m. until the time of her funeral service at 2:00 p.m. with Pastor Steve McKnight and Rev. Ricky Branham officiating. Burial will follow at Greenfield Township Cemetery in Steuben, Ohio. Memorial contributions can be made to Our Mission through Christian Alliance Church.
