Marie L. Butler, age 89, resident of Plymouth, Ohio passed away on Thursday, November 15, 2012 in the Hospice House of North Central Ohio in Ashland. She was born on April 21, 1923 in Shelby, Ohio to the late Claude and Maudie (Armstrong) Roberts. Mrs. Butler was a homemaker and a member of the Shelby Church of God. She enjoyed her grandchildren and watching game shows.
She is survived by eight children; Walter (Charlotte) Butler of Shelby; Barb (Ray) Risner of Plymouth; Norma Kosse of Plymouth; Steve (Cheri) Butler of Mansfield; Forrest (Kathy) Butler of Grover, NC; Darrel (Terry) Butler of Lenoir, NC; Kathy (Bill) Sexton of Plymouth; and Ralph Butler of Plymouth; a son-in-law, Mick Entler of Bradenton, FL; fifteen grandsons; six great granddaughters; seventeen great grandchildren; and one great great grandson; numerous nieces and nephews and other relatives.
In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her husband, Walter Butler in 1975; a daughter, JoAnn Entler; a grandson, Craig Butler; a son-in-law, Tim Kosse; four brothers, Corby, Carl, Roy and Buster Roberts; and three sisters, Elizabeth Roberts; Virginia Pugh; and Gladys Stumbo.
Friends may call at the Shelby Church of God, 4062 London West Rd., Shelby, OH 44875 on Monday, November 19, 2012 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM where the funeral service will be held at 1:00 PM with Pastor Rick Lewis officiating. she was grandma to me…she is now with my mom and grandpa and everyone else before her…i know we all will miss her being here but she has raised the best family anyone could be a part of and i am very proud to be part of grandma marie’s legacy! love to the family and friends who knew and loved her…#1 grandchild chris (she always spelled it cris..never got it right!)
