Marie Prelipp (Marcum), age 95, of Willard, Ohio, went to her Heavenly Home on Friday, February 13, 2026 at the Willows at Willard. She was born on March 11, 1930 in Blackey, Kentucky to the late John and Melvina (Carnes) Barton. Marie was a faithful member of Guinea Corner Church of God. She shared her love through cooking, baking, and making quilts. She also enjoyed reading the Bible, sewing, gardening and most of all, spending time with her family.
She is survived by her children, Karen Prelipp of Norwalk, Ohio; Jaci Shiendling of Alpharetta, Georgia; Dwayne (Tammy) Prelipp of Willard, Ohio; and Mary (Jerry) Furr of Plymouth, Ohio; 18 grandchildren; numerous great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren; siblings, Dean Hicks and David Hicks; and many nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her first husband of 50 years, Harold Prelipp; second husband, Walter Marcum; children, Kathy Myers, Gail Dean and Cheryl Snyder; and siblings, Walter Barton, Gracie Sexton, Chelsea Sexton, Boyd Barton, Charles Barton, Ruth Sexton, Raymond Sexton, Commadore Sexton, and William Sexton.
Calling hours will be at Secor Funeral Home in Willard, Ohio on Monday, February 16, 2026 from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. Her funeral service will be held at the funeral home on Tuesday, February 17, 2026 at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. Austin Gearheart officiating. Burial will follow at Greenlawn Cemetery in Plymouth, Ohio. Memorial contributions may be made to a charity or church of your choice. Marie truly used God's gifts she was given for others. Growing flower gardens sewing beautiful things raising kids hospitality to others creating tasty foods from God's bounty going to church all a part of faithfulness Matt 25 & Matt 21&23 His lord said well done thou good & faithful serzvant thou hast been faithful over a few things I will make you ruler over many. I ITimothy 4:7 I have fought a good fight l have finished the course I have. Kept the faith.

we all miss you so so much grandma. i’ll never forget all the memories with you, all the times spent watching you and grandma dean quilt. gosh i’ll miss your chicken and dumplings, nobody could make them as good as you did. i’ll always cherish the memories i had with you. there will forever be a void that nobody will ever be able to fill. i love you so much grandma.

Aunt Marie was loved by our family (Chelsea & Velman Sexton & family). We have memories of her making us pies & strawberry jam every time we visited. Most of all, we enjoyed her uplifting presence and spending time with her. She will be truly missed here, but I believe she is rejoicing in heaven. Prayers & love to her children, family & friends❣️
