Marilyn Ann Hord

To the Family of Marilyn Ann Hord,
My deepest sympathies go to you and everyone. I was a student in junior high when Mrs.Hord was study hall monitor and she always was kind and liked to talk about her days in Plymouth. She went to school with my mother,Janet Yohn and would always reminisce about that as well. She was a real nice person and will be missed.

Randy and Debbie,
I still remember your visiting our house in Pittsburgh with your mom and dad back when we were kids – there are pictures somewhere!
Your mom visited my mom Joyce last summer at my mom’s “independent living facility” where she was living due to having Alzheimer’s.
What’s so odd is that my mom passed away on March 9 (from Alzheimer’s)….so odd they passed away so close in time to each other.
Guess they’re back together now….

So sorry to hear about Marilyn. I seem to remember knowing her forever – my first memory was as a study hall monitor at the junior high. I thought she was terrifying – but found out over the years she was such a nice person. I know you’ll miss her greatly and my heart goes out to you all.

To the family of Marilyn Hord. It is with sincere and heartfilled sympathy that I exstend to all of you. Marilyn was a very sweet lady and her loss with be felt through all who know and loved her. She always would stop and give her kindness, our love and prayers go out to all of you for this tragic loss of her life. I was stunned to hear about your mother’s accident and her passing. I remember riding my bike down to her house for 4-H So & Sew’s meetings as a little girl. She was a wonderful person and I know she will be greatly missed. My prayers and condolences are with your entire family.

Marilyn was such a lovey person. I always enjoyed talking to her at the fair and looking at her wonderful creations. I think of her every Christmas when we hang our stockings which she made for us many years ago. May God comfort you in your sorrow.

Marilyn was one of the first friends we made when we moved to Willard in 1970.Our fondest memory of Marilyn hangs in a closet in our home. It is Harriet’s wedding dress which Marilyn made in 1971.She now rests forever with God.

Just the other day Bethany starting packing stuff to take with her and there was the blanket that your Mom made for her when she was born . Where has the time gone . Tom reminded me of a time we all went out to eat together with you and your parents . She was in my shop not long ago . She had to show me pictures of Rachels little one and was so proud of her . I heard about your mom’s accident from Joni. I am so sorry to hear that she has passed away from her injuries! I am confident that she is in Jesus’s arms and with your dad once again. I have so many good memories of your family…from Campus Life meetings, and 4-H Club. I also became a 4-H leader and taught a sewing club years ago…she was my inspiration! My sympathies to all of you and your families in this difficult time.

Sandy Yandell and I have known Marilyn for over ten years through our jobs. Mine as a high school secretary at Perkins High School and Sandy as a private secretary at Firelands BGSU. We met her through a professional educational secretary organization we all belonged to back in the 90’s.
Your mom was a very special lady. We enjoyed her company so much when we had the little Red Hat outings we did about twice a year and sometimes we all had lunch or dinner together at Berry’s in Norwalk. We cherished your mom and and we both feel so sad that she was taken from you in such a way. We wish you well and all the comfort of our Lord.
We cared for your mom and will always remember her.
