Marilyn I. Garrett, age 72, resident of rural Plymouth, passed away Monday, November 21, 2005 in MedCentral Shelby Hospital. She was born November 3, 1933 in Kenton, Ohio to the late Lloyd and Helen (Hahn) Thompson and had been a Plymouth area resident the majority of her life. Mrs. Garrett had been employed as a beautician, worked at the former AMF in Shelby and was a wonder homemaker. She is a member of the Plymouth United Methodist Church, the Shelby B.P.W. and the Club ’51.
She is survived by her husband, John A. Garrett who she wed June 9, 1950: one son and daughter-in-law, John Jr. and Sheryl Garrett of Shiloh; one daughter, Linda Baker of Sandusky; seven grandchildren and six great grandchildren.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by a half-sister, Jean Mayer.
Friends may call at the Secor Funeral Home in Plymouth on Friday morning from 10:00 AM to noon and at the Plymouth United Methodist Church on Friday from 12:30 PM to 1:30 PM where the funeral service will be held at 1:30 PM with Pastor Mark Reep, Pastor Linda Heinlen and Pastor Ron Carey officiating. Burial will follow in Maple Grove Cemetery in New Haven, Ohio.
