Martines “Marty” Gearhart, age 66, resident of rural Shiloh, Ohio passed away on Sunday August 5, 2007 in MedCentral Mansfield Hospital. He was born on July 14, 1941 in Price, Kentucky to the late Butler and Elva (Stumbo) Gearhart and has been a Shiloh resident the majority of his life. Mr. Gearhart was a member of the Richland County Coon Hunters Club and enjoyed hunting, fishing and still shooting.
He is survived by his daughter, Melanie Gearhart of Willard; two brothers and sisters-in-law, Denzil and Josephine Gearhart of Shiloh; Wendell and Brenda Gearhart of Willard; numerous nieces and nephews; and his cat, Tommy.
In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by a brother, Izus “Otis” Gearhart; and an infant sister, Yvonnie.
Friends may call at the Secor Funeral Home in Plymouth, Ohio on Tuesday, August 7, 2007 from 6:00 to 8:00 PM. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 on Wednesday at the funeral home with Reverend Delmer Bailey officiating. Burial will follow in Mt. Hope Cemetery in Shiloh.
