Marty R. Collins, age 58, resident of Plymouth, Ohio passed away unexpectedly on Monday, June 29, 2015 at his home. He was born on September 20, 1956 to the late Bill and Joyce (Martin) Collins. Marty was a self-employed carpenter and formerly employed with the Iowa Fire Control, Plymouth Villas and the Plymouth Cemetery. He was affiliated with the Plymouth Historical Society, Plymouth American Legion, and former Shelby Eagles Club. Marty served in the United States Marine Corps.
He is survived by his companion of 16 years, Barb Faylor; daughter, Kelly Collins of Ironton, OH; son, Michael Collins of Plymouth, OH; step son, Jeremy Faylor of Columbus, OH; and 2 grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by a brother, Van Collins in 1998.
A graveside service will be at 2:00 PM on Wednesday, July 1, 2015 at Greenlawn Cemetery in Plymouth, Ohio with Pastor Pete Bellamy officiating. Memorial contributions may be made to the family. Online condolences may be made to the family at www.secorfuneralhomes.com

Used to run around with Marty little bit in early 80’s. I still have a USMC pack we traded for. I respected him so much that it influenced me to also enlist in the Marine Corps! I did a total of 11 years including combat operations in the Persian Gulf. It really effected my ENTIRE life in a positive way. Owe a lot of that to “your” Marty! Semper Fi
