Mary Belle Reider, age 94, of Willard, Ohio passed away on Saturday, May 25, 2013 at the Erie County Care Facility in Huron, Ohio. She was born on December 11, 1918 in Willard to the late Witmer and Della (Davis) Reese and had been a life long Willard resident. She was a graduate of Willard High School and worked as a cook for the Willard School District.
Mrs. Reider was a member of the St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church in Willard where she was a member of the C.L.C. and the Rosary Altar Society.
She is survived by three daughters, Patricia (Richard) Cann of Huron; Joan (Dennis) Simpson of Willard; and Kathryn Knallay of Sandusky; a sister, Carleen Funk of Willard; a sister-in-law, Virginia Heffley of Rhode Island and numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her husband of 72 years, Joseph Reider on December 31, 2011; a son-in-law, James Knallay; two sisters, Margaret Cavello and Clara Vaughn; and a brother, John Reese, Sr.
A Memorial Mass will be held on Tuesday, June 4, 2013 at 11:00 AM at the St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church in Willard with Father Eric Culler officiating. Burial will follow in St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery in Willard. Memorial contributions can be made to the St. Francis School Fund or the Erie County Care Facility.
