Mary Jane Carpenter, age 87, resident of Willard, Ohio, passed away on Wednesday, December 27, 2017 at home surrounded by her loving family. She was born on January 18, 1930 in Willard, Ohio to the late Steven and Anna (Alda) Teglovic. Mary was the owner of Ohio State Wine Store, where she had retired in 1974. She enjoyed bingo, playing cards, but most of all, spending time with her family.
She is survived by her daughter, Patti Capelle; 2 granddaughters, Sara (Junior) Felver of Plymouth, OH; Stephanie Capelle of Kent, OH; 2 great-grandchildren, Peyton and Hunter Felver; and brother, Steve Teglovic of Greely, CO.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Eugene R. Carpenter in 1982; 2 sisters, Kathryn Penrose and Anna Chalton; 2 brothers, John Teglovic and Tom Popa; and a son-in-law, Alan Capelle.
Visitation will be at the Secor Funeral Home in Willard, Ohio on Tuesday, January 2, 2018 from 4:00 – 7:00 PM, where a service will be on Wednesday, January 3, 2018 at 1:00 PM with Pastor Ricky Branham officiating.
