Michael Barnett, Sr., age 61 of Plymouth, Ohio passed away Wednesday May 31, 2017 at Saint Vincent Mercy Medical Center in Toledo, Ohio surrounded by his family. Born June 14, 1955 in Willard, Ohio to Oscar and Molly (Taylor) Barnett who preceded him in death.
Michael was a retired employee of Omni Source Corporation in Mansfield, Ohio. Mike enjoyed fishing, playing and singing music and was part of several bands over the years. However, his most recent favorite pass-time was spending time with and caring for his grandchildren.
He is survived by his wife, Kathryn A. (Holman) Barnett and two of his granddaughters Mariah “Rose” Dover and Madalynn Grace Barnett, all of the home; nine children, Starlett Ruff Lorain, OH, Lisa (Alvin) Brant Plymouth, OH, Tonya Barnett, Tammi Barnett, Michael Barnett, Jr., Eddie “Mitchel” (Katie) Barnett, Samantha Barnett and Marc Barnett all of Willard, Ohio and Lisa Dolman Ward Toledo, OH. Three step-children Angela (Lee) Offenburger Jefferson City, MO, Rebecca (Jerod) Embry Smithton, MO and Michael Arnold Sedalia, MO; numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren. Six siblings, David, Bertha, Annette, Kathy, Ray, Scott and many nieces, nephews and loved ones.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by four brothers Eddie, Jimmy, Timmy and Bradley.
A celebration of life service will be held Saturday, June 3, 2017 at Grace United Methodist Church in Willard, Ohio at 3:00 p.m. with Pastor Luigi Perez officiating. The family will receive friends starting at 1:00 p.m. until service at the church. There will be no graveside service.
