Mildred E. Perry, age 93, of Willard, Ohio passed away Wednesday, January 1, 2014 at The Willows of Willard. She was born May 20, 1920 in Norwalk, Ohio to the late Jacob and Louisa (Schaffer) Roth. She was a member of the St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church in Willard and Past President of the Rosary Altar Society. She love to play cards, camping, hunting for mushrooms, playing bingo and most of all cooking for her family, especially at the holidays.
She is survived by her children, Barbara (Ron) Buss of Harrisonburg, VA, Bev (Ben) Wheeler of Willard, OH, Donald (Janos) Perry of Willard, OH, Pat (Lon) Arnold of Livonia, MI, Mary (Matt) Gottfried of Willard, OH, Sara (Roger) Menchofer of Athens, OH, Sharon (Jeff) Ketcham of Norwalk, OH, Lauri Wade of Shelby, OH, Craig (Cathy) Perry of Rome, PA, Steve (Julie) Perry of Monroeville, OH, Bobbi (Chris) Mahl, Willard, OH and Tom (April) Perry of Murfreesboro, TN; 35 grandchildren; several great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren; sister Mary Von Thron of New Jersey; sister-in-law Maggie Roth of Norwalk, OH and several nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Earl E. Perry; her parents Jacob and Louisa (Schaffer) Roth, grandson Jacob Menchofer; granddaughter Laura Arnold; 2 great-granddaughters Jayden Wheeler and Erica Buss; five sisters Elizabeth Berry, Aggie Foos, Margaret Yarmoluk, Gertrude Rupp and Sister Gwendolyn; and three brothers David Roth, Frankie Roth and Eddie Roth.
There will be a memorial funeral mass on Saturday, January 4, 2014 at 11:00 AM at the St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church in Willard, Ohio, with Fr. Eric Culler officiating. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Stein Hospice of Sandusky, Ohio or the Sisters of Notre Dame, 3837 Secor Road, Toledo, OH 43623. Our sincere condolences to you with the loss of your Mom. I can still remmeber when you all lived on Kautz street around the corner from us on Woodbine. We sure did have a great time growing up in that area. I remember your Mom as well and your Dad. Lots of good times in Willard and it`s always hard to here about the loss of some one you knew so well.
