Norman E. Lindholm, age 87, of Willard, Ohio, passed away on February 28, 2023 at Avita Health in Ontario surrounded by family. He was born on August 17, 1935 in Wichita, Kansas to the late Ernest and Nora (Borror) Lindholm.

After graduating Asbury College in Kentucky and SMU in Dallas Texas, Norm pastored in Goddard, Kansas and LaRue, Ohio, before coming to Willard to open the LK restaurant in 1968.

He was the former owner of Lindy’s Dairy Land in downtown Willard and Hallmark Expressions, working at Missler’s IGA in his retirement years. He was a member of Grace United Methodist Church and served the church for many years.  He was also a former member of the Willard Rotary Club and Chamber of Commerce.

An avid cyclist, walker and traveler, he never was still for long, biking through the rural roads of Huron County, walking the streets of Willard and traveling the US and the world with his late wife, Lou.

He is survived by his children; Teresa Damiani of Hinckley, Ohio, Denise Gallion (Erik) of Berlin, Ohio and Tim Lindholm (Brenda) of Spring, Texas, grandchildren; Alex Kimble of Indianapolis, Indiana, Marcy Bowen of Orville, Ohio, Ethan Lindholm of Spring, Texas and great granddaughters; Skylar and Alexas of Orville, Ohio.

In addition to his parents, Norman is preceded in death by his wife of 60 years Luella “Lou” Lindholm who passed away on June 9, 2018; and his seven siblings, Alfred Lindholm, John Lindholm, Howard Lindholm, Leonard Lindholm, Lindy Hurd, Anne Severns and Chuck Lindholm.

Family and friends can gather on Friday, March 10, 2023 at Secor Funeral Home in Willard, Ohio from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. An additional calling hour will also be held on Saturday, March 11, 2023 from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. at Grace United Methodist Church, 108 Maple Street, Willard.  The funeral service will immediately follow beginning at 11:00 a.m.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Salvation Army or WHS Boosters for Athletics, Academics & Music, c/o Secor Funeral Home, 202 West Maple Street, Willard, Ohio 44890.  Condolences can be made to Norman’s family on line by visiting www.secorfuneralhomes.com.

I’m so sorry for your loss. Norm gave me my first “real” job at Lindsey’s . Anytime I would see him in town he would stop and see what my goals were and if I was achieving them. Such a great man. He will be missed.

I was so sorry to hear of Norms passing. Many find memories growing up of him and Lou at Grace, Lindys and Hallmark! Lots of trips just down the block from mom and dad's growing up. My parents had nothing but wonderful things to say about the Lindholm family. They're all together in heaven, talkin' 'bout the good ole days....I'm sure! Our sincerest condolences.

It was certainly sad to hear the news of Norm’s passing. Having sat next to him and talked with him this past Sunday afternoon, it was a shock to learn about this. What a wonderful man Norm was. He hired me to work at Lindy's my freshman year of high school. The best summers of my life were in that dairy stand. His has impacted so many lives, in Willard. He will be remembered for many years to come. Rest in Peace Norm.
